Mindspot is part of Macquarie Health, Macquarie University. It is a free digital psychological website where you can do a depression or anxiety quiz and then get help with appropriate treatments if you need.
If you are wondering whether you have anxiety or depression or both, many doctors and mental health professionals use a tool called the K10. Beyond Blue have an online version (see the link below) where you can complete the questionnaire and get your results immediately. You can then take this to your doctor if you think you need further help.
Moodgym is a free interactive program to help identify whether you are having problems with things like depression and anxiety and learn skills to support your mental health. It is a program that uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a type of psychological approach which considers the way you think and how you behave. There are 5 online modules which will help you to understand how your thinking affects your behaviour, and learn and practise skills to prevent and treat anxiety and depression.
SANE is a website that addresses the needs of people with complex mental health issues and trauma. Not only does it provide information and resources for people experiencing more complex mental health issues but family and friends can also get help and support here too.
Black Dog Institute is a medical research institute that investigates mental health across the life span. Here you will find information and research informed resources on anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and suicide. There are even some creative art suggestions along with digital tools and fact sheets. Check them out in the link below.
